General Overview

The Broad is a new contemporary art museum on Grand Avenue in downtown Los Angeles. The museum, which is designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro in collaboration with Gensler, is home to the nearly 2,000 works of art in the Broad collection, which is among the most prominent holdings of postwar and contemporary art worldwide.

How To Purchase Tickets

Tickets to the Broad Museum are free and can be reserved at their website.

Metrolink train tickets can be purchased at a Ticket Vending Machine (TVM) at any Metrolink train station. More info:

Use Metrolink's $10 Weekend Day Pass on either Saturday or Sunday for unlimited rides systemwide!
• Metrolink riders who purchase tickets to L.A. Union Station have TAP-enabled tickets
• TAP-enabled tickets have free transfers onto Metro Rail
• Covering the chip and antenna with your fingers may block the turnstile or validator from reading the signal to your ticket
Directions & Schedules
  • From Union Station, take the Metro Red or Purple line
  • Exit at the Civic Center / Grand Park station
  • Walk south two blocks on Hill St.
  • Turn right and walk two blocks on 2nd St.
  • Turn left on Grand St. The Broad Museum is located at 221 S. Grand St.

  • This is the absolute worse public transportation system I have ever used in my life, and I have traveled the world and used several systems with no problem. Highly unorganized, do not trust the site and their times posted. Or the times at the station for that matter.
