Crews have resumed work to remove the remaining portion of the sound wall along the northbound I-5 Florence Avenue on-ramp, adjacent to Longworth Avenue. Once the sound wall removal operation is completed, crews will immediately begin work to construct the new sound wall. In addition, a privacy fence is being installed along Longworth Avenue, adjacent to northbound I-5 freeway. This work will be conducted weekdays, between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Please be advised, this work may be loud and disruptive due to concrete demolition and removal, equipment noise, sound wall construction activities and truck back-up alarms.

Crews are drilling CIDH (cast in drilled hole) piles along southbound I-5 for the new Florence Avenue bridge bent; this work is taking place weekdays between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m. and will be ongoing for approximately two to three weeks.

Pile driving activity will be ongoing intermittently for approximately the next four to six weeks, weekdays between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., along southbound I-5. While pile driving activity will only be performed during the day, night crews may move equipment to reposition the pile driving rig within the work area. Please be advised this work may be loud and disruptive due to equipment noise, construction lighting (when equipment is moved at night), and vibration and pounding related to pile driving activity.

Pile driving activity along I-5 at Pioneer Boulevard is ongoing; this work will be conducted weekdays between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. and will be ongoing intermittently for approximately three months. Please be advised this work may be loud and disruptive due to equipment noise, vibration, and pounding related to pile driving activity.

As crews work on Imperial Highway, Norwalk Boulevard and Pioneer Boulevard bridges at I-5, one lane in each direction will be closed on each street (at I-5) during the daytime, between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
