Metrolink Bike Month 2021

Metrolink is celebrating "Bike Month" throughout May with an exciting lineup of engaging activities and virtual events in collaboration with our bike-loving SoCal Explorer partners Aventon Bikes, AllTrails, and the Los Angeles County Bike Coalition.

Metrolink trains are a convenient, safe and sustainable way to travel for both work and play. Check out our Metrolink Experience video featuring four cyclist friends on their way to Riverside, riding the 91/Perris Valley Line with their bikes. Metrolink is offering free rides during Bike-to-Work Week, Monday, May 17 to Friday, May 21, to passengers who bring their bike onboard the train. One free ride per bike. Passengers must be with their bike for the entire trip. Free rides on Metrolink are not eligible for refunds and are not eligible for free transfers to any other bus or rail operator.

In addition to free rides during Bike-to-Work Week, riders will have the chance to win a free, brand new Aventon e-bike by filling out the form below. Contest rules can be found here.

We’ve partnered with SoCal based e-bike company, Aventon Bikes, to give away a free bike! Enter to win a brand new e-bike and enjoy the summer riding Metrolink’s bike friendly trains to cycling destinations across Southern California while giving a boost to your health and the environment along the way. We’re working with AllTrails to offer SoCal residents a special collection of curated bike trails all within two miles of Metrolink stations, called "Trains, Two-Wheelers and Train Tracks". Check it out here.

Learn all about how to enjoy cycling safely with a “Lunch and Learn” session hosted by Kevin Shin, Senior Director, Policy & Partnerships at Metrolink’s SoCal Explorer Loyalty partner, the Los Angeles County Bike Coalition. This webinar will be open to the public and cover bike safety with particular attention towards interactions with the Metrolink regional passenger train system. Attendees will learn how to take extra precautions around rail crossings and additional tips for making any railway trip easier, safer, and more convenient with a bike.
