Luminarias Restaurant, of Monterey Park
The gorgeous hilltop Monterey Park restaurant Luminarias has just been reborn. The spot has served as a well-known institution in the area since 1972 but just reopened after undergoing an extensive multimillion-dollar renovation transformation -- complete with an upgrade to its interior and exterior, paired with a total overhaul of the culinary program.
This modern and lively restaurant was redesigned to serve as a destination for everyday dining and a particular location to celebrate life’s memorable moments.
Upon walking up to the restaurant's entrance, Luminarias welcomes guests with a magical pathway of illuminated lanterns leading to the entrance, with design accents such as water features and a koi pond.
Once inside, diners will sit beneath a collection of industrial chandeliers surrounded by 25-foot, floor-to-ceiling windows and enjoy views of the San Gabriel Valley and Downtown Los Angeles below. There's also an expansive, 130-seat patio that offers panoramic sights of Los Angeles set above a real herb and citrus garden used by the bar team.
Menu-wise, guests can dive into elevated dining offerings such as a raw bar and charcuterie station and a menu comprising of New American dishes with a Latin influence.
It's a beautiful, new hot spot for dining with a view perched just outside downtown LA.
