LOS ANGELES – On Memorial Day, Monday, May 26, Metrolink, Southern California’s regional passenger rail system, will operate on a weekend schedule on the Antelope Valley, Orange County, 91/Perris Valley, San Bernardino, Inland Empire-Orange County and Ventura County lines. The Riverside Line will not be in service. The Arrow service between San Bernardino and Redlands will also offer a weekend schedule.
On Monday, customers can enjoy unlimited travel with Metrolink's $10 Holiday Pass, which can be purchased at all station ticket machines under "special ticket options” and on the Metrolink Mobile App. The ongoing $10 Weekend Day Pass and Kids Ride Free on Weekends promotions will also be available on the Saturday and Sunday prior to the holiday, making weekend travel even more affordable for residents and visitors.
For those seeking inspiration for a holiday adventure, Metrolink’s EXPLORE hub features notable activities and destinations accessible via the network. Due to ongoing emergency coastal stabilization work near San Clemente, trains on the Orange County and Inland Empire-Orange County lines will only operate as far south as the Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo Station and will not serve the cities of San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano or Oceanside during the holiday weekend.
Amtrak Pacific Surfliner trains are also impacted by the track closure. Visit pacificsurfliner.com for details. Metrolink’s Rail 2 Rail® program, which allows Metrolink Monthly Pass holders to travel on Pacific Surfliner trains within station pairs at no additional charge, will be suspended from Friday, May 23 through Tuesday, May 27. The program will resume on Wednesday, May 28.
Amtrak Pacific Surfliner codeshare trains, which accept all Metrolink tickets and passes between Los Angeles and Ventura, may also be affected during the blackout period on a case-by-case basis if capacity is limited.
