The Southern California Regional Rail Authority (Metrolink) is advancing the Marengo Siding Extension Project (Project) to inspect, repair and maintain the existing track to operate smoothly and safely, while constructing a new siding track.
The proposed El Monte Siding Extension Project includes new rail infrastructure, a siding extension that will be constructed within Metrolink's right-of-way, and grade crossing improvements at the El Monte Station and at Tyler Avenue.
The proposed Rancho Cucamonga Siding Extension Project includes safety-related improvements at two at-grade crossings at Hellman Avenue and Archibald Avenue and a new track configuration that will allow trains to pass one another in opposite directions on separate tracks.
