Step 3: Buying Your Ticket

There is more than one way to buy your train ticket. Metrolink tickets may be purchased on the Metrolink mobile app or at stations on ticket machines.

Please note: Be on the platform and ready to board when the train pulls into the station. Station stops are brief. To keep trains operating on time, conductors cannot wait for riders who are purchasing their tickets at machines.

Step 4: Board the Train

Choose a seat and place any belongings away securely to keep aisles clear. Read more about riding with bikes. Be prepared to show your Metrolink mobile or printed ticket to the conductor when asked, ensuring your ticket is valid at the time of inspection.

Once you reach your destination, gather your belongings and follow the signs to exit the platform.
