 Planned Advisory for the Orange County and Inland Empire-Orange County lines

 San Clemente Track Closure, April 28, 2025

Metrolink service through San Clemente will be temporarily suspended beginning Monday, April 28. This closure is to allow for the start of emergency construction work to protect the rail line from coastal erosion and landslide activity.

During this closure, Metrolink Orange County Line & Inland Empire-Orange County Line trains will originate & terminate at the Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo Station.

There will be no alternate transportation available between Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo and Oceanside during this service suspension.

Amtrak Pacific Surfliner will also be affected.

Metrolink tickets and passes through the Rail2Rail® program are not valid on Pacific Surfliner replacement bus service during this service suspension.

We expect this service suspension to last approximately six weeks.
