
LOS ANGELES - Full Metrolink service on the agency's Ventura County Line will resume this afternoon, with scheduled stops being made at all stations. The track was restored to service this morning, with initial rail movement commencing before 9 a.m.
Working throughout the night, crews repaired the track owned and operated by Union Pacific Railroad near the intersection of Fifth Street and Rice Avenue in the City of Oxnard where a vehicle on the tracks was struck yesterday morning by Metrolink Ventura County train 102.
This evening Ventura County Line trains 117, 119, and 123 will operate regularly making all stops. The first Metrolink train to pass the incident site will be at approximately 5:40 p.m. Union Pacific freight and Amtrak passenger rail service have also resumed.
Last night and this morning, Metrolink provided regularly scheduled service between Los Angeles Union Station and Moorpark, providing buses as an alternate form of transportation for passengers traveling to and from Camarillo, Oxnard, and East Ventura.
