Girl Scouts are encouraged to go green and ride Metrolink to 'Girltopia'

In honor of the Girls Scouts' 100th anniversary, the Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles will host "Girltopia" on Saturday, Oct. 29. The sold out event will offer 11,000 attendees top main-stage entertainment, interactive fun shops, exhibitor booths and villages representing the environment, outdoor adventure, fashion, arts, culture, leadership, healthy living, dance, business and more.

"Girltopia" attendees are encouraged to go green and ride Metrolink with their family, friends and troop leaders. Metrolink offers a special $10 Weekend Pass that allows passengers to ride anytime, anywhere system-wide from 7 p.m. on Friday through 11:59 p.m. on Sunday. The Weekend Pass offers free connectivity to rail or bus throughout Southern California. So, Weekend Pass holders can transfer for free from Los Angeles Union Station to the Metro Red or Purple lines to the 7th Street/Metro Center/Julian Dixon stop, which is walking distance from the Los Angeles Convention Center.

There will be no service on Metrolink's Orange County and Inland Empire lines on Oct. 29. For more information, visit www.metrolinktrains.com or call our Customer Call Center at 800-371-5465(LINK).
