Metrolink and OCTA highlight connectivity to OC Fair

Metrolink showcases OC Fair wrapped passenger car at Irvine Metrolink Station

LOS ANGELES - Metrolink launched its OC Fair wrapped car today as the OC Fair held a road show at the Irvine Metrolink Station celebrating the connectivity of Metrolink and the Orange County Transportation Authority's OC Fair Express to the event.

The OC Fair will be held July 12 through August 11 in Costa Mesa. The road show kicked off an awareness campaign encouraging fair goers to ride Metrolink to the Anaheim Canyon, Santa Ana or Irvine Station and make a free transfer to OCTA's OC Fair Express, which will take individuals directly to the OC Fair.

The road show event featured OC Fair "foodie" costumed characters, a spin-to-win wheel with fun prizes and prepackaged food for commuters to enjoy.

Metrolink riders who take the OC Fair Express will receive a coupon good for a $3 admission to the OC Fair. Those customers will save $8 on adult admission, $5 on senior admission and $3 on youth admission when using a coupon.

The OC Fair Express will run Fridays during the OC Fair from 3 p.m. until midnight, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. until midnight. Visit metrolinktrains.com or call 800-371-5465 (LINK) for train schedules.
