
At their meeting on November 13, 2009, the Southern California Regional Rail Authority Board of Directors deferred taking action on a system wide fare increase until the December 11th Board meeting. The Board will continue to consider alternatives, including service cuts, fare increases and deferring capital projects to provide additional operating subsidies among other funding options. The public hearing opened on November 13 remains open and the public is invited to continue to submit their comments on the fare increase proposal until December 11th.
Information regarding the proposed fare adjustments and proposed administrative actions, including service changes, is available for public inspection on the Metrolink website at www.metrolinktrains.com or in the SCRRA headquarters office, located at 700 South Flower Street, 26th Floor, Los Angeles, California 90017 during regular office hours Monday through Friday, from 8:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M. Comments and suggestions may be submitted orally or in writing at the public hearing, or posted in advance of the public hearing at [email protected], or by mail if received in advance of the public hearing to the attention of Metrolink Fares at the SCRRA headquarters office, or faxed to the attention of Metrolink Fares before the hearing at (213) 452-0452. All public comments, regardless of the form of communication, must be submitted and received no later than the time of the public hearing scheduled for December 11, 2009. Some or all of these matters may be continued by the Board to a later time or date in its sole discretion.
