LOS ANGELES - Ronnie Campbell, a veteran financial expert with more than 25 years of budget and finance experience, will join Metrolink as its chief financial officer on May 23. Campbell has been with the City of Camarillo since 2007, serving as the city's department of finance director.

"I am looking forward to having Ronnie as a member of our executive leadership team," said Deputy Chief Executive Officer Elissa Konove. "His experience will be invaluable as we continue the progress made in strengthening our financial management and relationships with key stakeholders."

In his role at Metrolink, Campbell will oversee the controller/treasurer, budgets and financial analysis, general accounting and payroll, grants administration and fiscal management, along with accounts receivable and payable.

While with the City of Camarillo, Campbell led a finance staff of 20 members and was responsible for a $172 million operating budget and capital improvement program.

Prior to working in Camarillo, Campbell served as the assistant director of the administrative services department for the City of Lakewood for 10 years. In that role, he provided oversight of the city's budget, payroll, accounting management and capital improvement plan.

He also worked for the San Diego Housing Authority from 1991 until 1997. Campbell earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from San Diego State University and a master's degree in organizational management from the University of La Verne.
