
Baseball fans can save time and money with $7 round-trip ticket
LOS ANGELES - Metrolink, the Riverside County Transportation Commission (RCTC) and the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) are offering a special Wednesday edition of the Angels Express train on Metrolink's Inland Empire-Orange County Line tomorrow night.
IE-OC Line train 899 will depart Riverside-Downtown at 5:01 p.m. and is scheduled to arrive at the Orange Station at 6:10 p.m. Angels fans will then transfer to Orange County Line train 643 at 6:16 p.m. and arrive at Angels Stadium four minutes later.
When returning to the Inland Empire, fans will board train 644 to the Orange Station and transfer to IE-OC Line special train 898, which will make all stops back to Riverside-Downtown. Train 644 will depart 30 minutes after the game ends.
The special service is in conjunction with nearly 300 members of the Corona Chamber of Commerce taking the train to the game against the World Series Champion Kansas City Royals.
Round-trip tickets are $7 for the general public, $6 for seniors and $4 for ages 6 to 18. All valid Metrolink tickets and passes are also accepted. Children ages 5 and under ride free, with a limit of three per paying adult. Angels Express tickets can be purchased at either station ticket machines on the same day of games or through Metrolink's mobile app.
The IE-OC Line Angels Express complements the Orange County Line service which allows fans from L.A. Union Station or Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo to all Angels weekday home games starting at 7:05 p.m.
Throughout the baseball season, Metrolink offers special service from Riverside for all Friday home games via the transfer at the Orange Metrolink Station.
