Metrolink Trains Unable to Operate South of Laguna Niguel Due to Ongoing Police Activity

Due to ongoing police activity above the tracks in Mission Viejo, Metrolink trains are unable to operate south of Laguna Niguel on the Orange County and Inland Empire lines.

This morning, northbound train service will begin at Laguna Niguel at their normal departure time from this station. Trains will make all regularly scheduled stops north of Laguna Niguel. Passengers who normally board northbound Metrolink trains at Oceanside, San Clemente or San Juan Capistrano should make alternative plans for their commute as there will be very limited bus service available to transport them to Laguna Niguel. While service will begin at Laguna Niguel, passengers may want to go to Irvine where there are more available parking spaces. (address and directions below)

Metrolink will be using traditional and social media to communicate to passengers this morning so they are aware of the circumstances and can plan accordingly. Updated information is also available on Metrolink's website, www.metrolinktrains.com. Metrolink employees will be on-hand at affected stations to communicate with customers.
