Los Angeles-On Wednesday, Feb. 15, Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) added a stop at the Sun Valley Metrolink station on its Line 794 Rapid bus operating between Downtown L.A. and Sylmar. This means more flexible transportation options in this area andmoreopportunities for riders to transfer from a Metro bus to a Metrolink train and vice versa.
A Metrolink ticket allows a rider to transfer to Metro buses or light rail at no additional cost. However, to transfer from a bus to a Metrolink train a valid Metrolink ticket must be purchased.
This effort is part of a larger initiative to create a user-friendly regional transportation system by transportation providers working together to coordinate schedules whenever possible.
