Transportation authorities encourage community to use Metrolink.
LOS ANGELES - Temporary lane and ramp closures on the southbound San Diego Freeway (I-5) in South Orange County are planned for tonight and Saturday. Significant traffic delays are expected as freeway improvements reach a major milestone.
Transportation authorities are encouraging travelers to seek alternate routes or use public transportation including Metrolink.
Metrolink's Orange County and Inland Empire-Orange County lines both serve the affected areas, including the cities of San Clemente and San Juan Capistrano. The Orange County Line provides service between Oceanside and Los Angeles while the Inland Empire-Orange County Line travels between Oceanside and the cities of San Bernardino and Riverside.
