Track and Signal Work Causes Slight Schedule Modifications and Bus Transfers On Metrolink's Antelope Valley Line Sundays in Sept

The last three Sundays in September, Metrolink riders on the Antelope Valley line must detrain and board a free bus to travel between the Via Princessa and Vincent Grade stations while track and signal work is conducted. Slight schedule modifications at the Lancaster, Palmdale and Via Princessa station stops will also be necessary. Southbound trains will depart 30 minutes earlier and northbound trains will arrive up to 30 minutes later at the Lancaster, Palmdale and Via Princessa stations.

Approximately 1500 people will be affected by these changes each week. The work is part of a siding extension project that will allow an increase in train service and provide operational flexibility to recover from schedule delays on the Antelope Valley Line, which runs between Los Angeles Union Station and Lancaster.

Metrolink schedules maintenance during times of low ridership to minimize impact to its customers.
