On Tuesday, Nov. 12, Metrolink staff joined nearly 450 attendees at WTS-LA’s Annual Scholarships and Awards Gala, the organization’s largest event of the year. Metrolink was proudly represented by an 11-person delegation that included three members of the executive leadership team.
Throughout the evening, WTS-LA awarded an impressive $140,000 in scholarships to 33 deserving recipients, including Metrolink’s own Director of Marketing and Partnerships, Sabrina Davis, who is pursuing a master’s degree in leadership from Claremont Graduate University. The event celebrated individuals and organizations that are making a positive impact on Southern California’s transportation industry with eight outstanding industry leaders recognized.
Each year, the Scholarships and Awards Gala reinforces WTS-LA’s mission to attract, sustain, connect and advance women in transportation. Metrolink is proud to support this vision, and several staff members are actively involved in leadership roles within the chapter. Government and Community Relations Management Analyst Julie Nieto is the WTS-LA Board of Directors Awards and Recognitions Chair and, as a member of the Gala Committee, was actively involved with planning and executing this year’s event. Chief Customer Experience Officer Lisa Bahr has also served on the WTS-LA Board of Directors as a director at large since 2023.
