In early November, Metrolink Public Affairs Manager Sylvia Novoa coordinated with California State Senator Eloise Gómez Reyes, who previously served in the state assembly and was recently elected to the state senate, and the University of Redlands to deliver a meaningful development opportunity for high school students.
Forty students from Senator Gómez Reyes’ Young Legislator Program utilized Metrolink’s Student Adventure Pass to take the Arrow service to the University of Redlands for a special inside look at campus life. They enjoyed a tour of the campus led by the university president, Krista Newkirk, met the university’s beloved mascot, George, and attended a university-level political science class. They also learned about the application process and the possibilities of pursuing higher education at the University of Redlands.
At Metrolink, we’re proud to support programs that inspire and empower future leaders, and we hope to continue to partner on similar initiatives across the region.
