$1 fares on the Arrow service promote cost-effective rail travel between San Bernardino and Redlands.
In January, Metrolink implemented major schedule adjustments on our San Bernardino Line to alleviate train congestion and enhance service reliability. Changes remedied operational issues stemming from our historic October 2024 service expansion, which unfortunately negatively impacted the line’s on-time performance.
The new schedule replaced 10 daily roundtrips between Los Angeles and Covina with five roundtrips between LA Union Station and Montclair. An additional 17 roundtrips between Los Angeles and San Bernardino continue to run each weekday, while limited-stop trains now serve all stations. A late-evening train from Los Angeles to San Bernardino was also reinstated following customer feedback.
In concert with the San Bernardino Line changes, an updated Arrow schedule was introduced to ensure connections. Four trains on the Ventura County Line also saw minor adjustments.
New and existing Arrow customers have the opportunity to try out the revised schedule for just a buck. Metrolink is partnering with the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority (SBCTA) to offer $1 roundtrips on the Arrow service throughout February and March. This promotion applies exclusively to the nine-mile Arrow route connecting San Bernardino and Redlands and does not extend to other portions of Metrolink’s system. The discounted fare is funded through the Low Carbon Transit Operations Program (LCTOP), administered by Caltrans.
