Beyond Wonderland attendees don’t have to worry about driving hassles when Metrolink special service trains are a viable option.
Festival season is year-round at Metrolink thanks to our ongoing partnership with electronic music event promoter Insomniac. This weekend, Metrolink will once again offer festivalgoers a safe, stress-free transportation option to Southern California’s premiere spring electronic music showcase, Beyond Wonderland, at the National Orange Show (NOS) Event Center near the San Bernardino-Downtown Station. Ridership on Metrolink’s special post-event trains, which run from San Bernardino to LA Union Station, has increased annually, and thanks to the popularity of the service and customer feedback, we’re adding four new city stops: El Monte, Fontana, Pomona and Upland.
“With each year, word and train service popularity has spread among the music festival community,” said Metrolink Corporate Sales Specialist Ricardo Davila III, who oversees the Insomniac partnership. “We’ve already sold hundreds of presale passes for this weekend’s event, and we expect that number to grow in the coming days.”
Beyond Wonderland attendees can purchase an Insomniac Weekend Pass for just $25 on the Metrolink Mobile App and enjoy unlimited travel throughout the duration of the festival, including boarding any regularly scheduled Metrolink train to head to the event. Special return trains will depart at 3 a.m. on both Saturday, March 29, and Sunday, March 30, making stops at the Fontana, Rancho Cucamonga, Upland, Montclair, Claremont, Pomona-North, Covina, El Monte and Cal State LA stations before arriving in downtown Los Angeles.
With post-event trains at 3 a.m. each night, Beyond Wonderland attendees (endearingly referred to as “headliners” by event organizers) can enjoy themselves thoroughly and not worry about how they’re getting home.
Since July 2022, Metrolink has partnered with Insomniac to provide special service on the San Bernardino Line for festivals held at the NOS Event Center, located about a mile south of the San Bernardino-Downtown Station. Our special trains have supported popular events like Hard Summer, Escape Halloween and Countdown NYE, ensuring attendees have a safe and reliable way to get home after the performances conclude.
As festivalgoers have become more familiar with Metrolink, heightened enthusiasm for the service has had a direct effect on ticket sales. Between 2023 and 2024, increased demand led to 26% year-over-year growth for Beyond Wonderland Insomniac Weekend Pass sales.
