As summer officially comes to a close, I want to take a moment to reflect on the remarkable efforts of our team during what was an exceptionally challenging season. The prolonged heat wave that brought extreme temperatures to our region earlier this month created particularly difficult conditions for our equipment and crews, and the dedication and resilience of our operations team were crucial to mitigating the impact on our service.
September is also Rail Safety Month, and I would be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge our wonderful employees and partners for the tremendous work they do to ensure customers and community members are safe on and around our system. Their year-round commitment and extraordinary teamwork underscore the foundational role safety plays across our operation.
Earlier this month, we announced that, starting Monday, Oct. 21, we're rolling out our new schedule, designed to make travel by rail a more convenient and flexible experience for our region than ever before.
Since the announcement, customers have been providing feedback about the new schedule, which is critical for us to understand how our schedule changes impact everyone's commute. We encourage current and potential riders to take our survey and share their thoughts about the new schedule. If you take Metrolink, we want your feedback!
