Giveaway Terms & Conditions

NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE THE CHANCES OF WINNING.

1. Sponsor

All giveaways are sponsored by the Southern California Regional Rail Authority (Metrolink) and/or 3rd party partners.

2. Eligibility

Giveaways are open to legal residents of the United States who are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry unless otherwise specified in the promotional materials.

Employees of the Southern California Regional Rail Authority (Metrolink), its member agencies, promotional partners, prize providers, advertising and promotion agencies, and any contractors or vendors directly involved in the administration of the Giveaway, as well as the immediate family members and household members of such individuals, are not eligible to participate or win.

3. Giveaway Entry Periods

The entry period for each Giveaway will be specified in the promotional materials or social media post announcing the Giveaway.

4. How to Enter

Entry methods may vary depending on the specific Giveaway and will be described in the promotional materials or entry page for that Giveaway.

5. Social Media Giveaways

From time to time, Metrolink may conduct Giveaways through its official social media channels, including Facebook and Instagram.

No purchase is necessary to enter or win. One (1) unique entry per person is permitted unless otherwise stated in the social media post announcing the Giveaway.

To enter a Social Media Giveaway, participants must follow the instructions provided in the official Metrolink social media post announcing the promotion. Entry methods may include actions such as commenting on the post, tagging another valid social media account, or other actions specified in the post.

Each Social Media Giveaway will specify its entry period within the social media post.

Winners will be selected by random drawing from all eligible entries received during the entry period and will be notified via the platform on which the Giveaway was conducted.

Social Media Giveaways are in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook or Instagram.

6. Prizes

Prizes will be described in the promotional materials associated with each Giveaway.

Prizes are non-transferable and may not be sold, exchanged, or redeemed for cash. Metrolink reserves the right to substitute a prize with another prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable.

Event or Experience Prizes:
If a prize includes tickets to an event or experience, Metrolink is not responsible for event cancellations, postponements, or schedule changes made by the event organizer.

Transportation Disclaimer:
If a prize includes Metrolink tickets or passes, use of those tickets is subject to Metrolink’s standard fare rules and service availability. Metrolink is not responsible for delays or service interruptions.

7. Limitations on Winning Multiple Prizes

Participants may win only one (1) prize per Giveaway campaign.

In addition, an individual may not win more than one (1) prize within any sixty (60) day period across all Metrolink Giveaways.

If a participant is randomly selected as a winner but has already received a prize within the previous sixty (60) days, Metrolink reserves the right to disqualify that entry and select an alternate winner.

Metrolink may disqualify individuals attempting to circumvent these limits by using multiple accounts or identities.

8. Winner Selection

Winners will be selected through a random drawing from all eligible entries received during the Giveaway period.

9. Winner Notification

Potential winners will be notified via email or direct message on the social media platform through which the Giveaway was conducted.

Potential winners must respond to the notification within twenty-four (24) hours of the time the notification is sent in order to claim the prize.

If a potential winner does not respond within the required 24-hour period, is found to be ineligible, declines the prize, or fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions, Metrolink reserves the right to disqualify that individual and select an alternate winner from the remaining eligible entries.

Metrolink is not responsible for notifications that are not received due to spam filters, incorrect contact information, inactive accounts, or other technical issues.

10. Multiple Accounts / Fraudulent Entry

Participants may not enter using multiple identities, email addresses, social media accounts, or loyalty program accounts.

Metrolink reserves the right to disqualify any participant who engages in fraudulent entry practices or attempts to manipulate the Giveaway.

11. General Conditions

Metrolink reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify a Giveaway if fraud, technical failures, or other factors impair the integrity of the promotion.

12. Limitation of Liability

Metrolink is not responsible for technical failures, network outages, or other issues that may affect participation in the Giveaway.

13. Disputes

All disputes relating to the Giveaway will be governed by the laws of the State of California.

14. Privacy

Personal information collected in connection with a Giveaway will be handled in accordance with Metrolink’s Privacy Policy.

15. Winner List

To obtain the name of the winner(s) of a Giveaway, participants may submit a request within sixty (60) days of the end of the Giveaway entry period by emailing:

Requests must include the name of the Giveaway and the date the Giveaway concluded. Requests received more than sixty (60) days after the end of the Giveaway may not be fulfilled.

At Metrolink’s discretion, winners may also be announced publicly on Metrolink’s Website or official social media channels. To protect participant privacy, public announcements will identify winners using first name and last initial only, and may include the winner’s city of residence.
