A Car-Free Guide to Film, TV, and Music Production in Burbank Using Metrolink

Overview

Hollywood isn't just a place; it's a century of stories. At Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood, those stories come to life on the actual working lot where some of television and film's most beloved productions have been and are currently being made.

This guide is designed for visitors who want more than sightseeing. They want to step inside the place where film and television shows are actively made today. The Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood offers access to one of the most active production studios in Los Angeles, combined with a walkable district that has shaped decades

How to Get There Using Metrolink + Transit

Step 2: Transfer to BurbankBus Pink Route Media District Line.
This bus connects to Warner Bros., Disney Animation, and nearby studios.
Step 3: Optional walking or short rideshare.

A valid Metrolink ticket includes free transfers to connecting transit services. Purchase a SoCal Day Pass, just $15 on weekdays and $10 on weekends. The Burbank Bus Pink Route runs directly from Burbank Downtown Metrolink Station along Olive Avenue through the Media District. What You’ll Experience

A guided cart tour takes you through iconic backlot streets — the same sets that have appeared in nearly 400 productions since the 1930s. From Stars Hollow to Rosewood to New York Street, the locations are immediately recognizable. After the guided portion, the self-guided Stage 48: Script to Screen gives you an interactive look at the full production process, from casting through awards season.

The tour's grand finale puts you inside the DC Universe and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts, with recreated sets, authentic props, and costumes from the films. Friends fans won't want to miss the Central Perk Café, where you can grab a meal surrounded by Monica's apartment and Joey and Chandler's pad — or snap a photo at the iconic fountain from the show's opening credits. There is also a souvenir gift shop with exclusive merchandise you can't find elsewhere, including themed departments for animation, DC, and Hollywood classics, plus apparel from shows like Gilmore Girls and Friends. You can also personalize Hogwarts robes, journals, trunks, and glassware.
