Stough Canyon Nature Center

Take Metrolink's Ventura County line or Antelope Valley line to the Burbank - Downtown station to visit the Stough Canyon Nature Center and embark on a getaway to explore the natural beauty of the Verdugo Mountains. 

It’s operated by the City of Burbank's Parks and Recreation Department, with a welcoming atmosphere and numerous educational programs, including:

For a moderately challenging route with lovely mountain views, try the Stough Canyon Trail to Verdugo Peak. This 8.2-mile out-and-back trail along the Verdugo Mountain Motorway is open year-round and is a popular area for birding, hiking, and mountain biking. Another easier option is the Scout Camp and Stough Canyon Loop, a 2.4-mile trail offering scenic views and a chance to experience local flora and fauna.
