Local Claremont music lovers Steve and Janelle own “The Rave Box,” which initially started back in 2020 as a monthly mystery box mailed to subscribers. Their "rave boxes" were filled with goodies like a hydration backpack, complete outfits, and accessories.
As ravers themselves for more than a decade, this couple values the community that music has brought them. The pair kickstarted their mailer business just two weeks before the pandemic hit, not knowing how much everyone's lives would change. People quickly went crazy for their mailers, which cost $110 (including shipping) and as the world began to open up again, so did the Rave Box’s community following.
Today, the business has expanded into a brick-and-mortar “one-stop-shop” in downtown Claremont selling eclectic clothing and accessories for festivals.
The Rave Box now boasts a strong following of loyal customers that feel like family, and Steve and Janelle look forward to growing the business for many years.
