The history of the Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken brand dates more than 60 years ago in the small community of Mason, Tennessee.
Today, the restaurant’s legacy has expanded. The Santa Ana location is a full-service restaurant serving made-to-order, hand-battered fried chicken — “southern spicy fried chicken” (not to be confused with “Nashville hot chicken!”).
And it’s not “famous” chicken for nothing — this multi-award winning restaurant brand is the reigning champion of the National Fried Chicken Festival, among other impressive accolades.
All signature southern sides (which pair perfectly with the chicken) served on-site are made in-house daily. Pair a hearty meal with a satisfying sweet tea, and indulge in one of the fan-favorite desserts like one of the pies, including simple southern pecan, chess, sweet potato and chocolate chess pies (also baked fresh daily).
