Adjusted Metrolink Fares Effective Monday, October 5
Beginning Monday, October 5, 2026, Metrolink will update fares, including:
- One-Way Ticket and SoCal Day Pass price increases
- 5-Day Flex Passes and Monthly Passes may see a slight increase, no change at all, or a lower price depending on their distance
- LA Zone Day Pass will remain $5 regardless of distance
- All Metrolink Everyday Discount programs will remain available
Metrolink recognizes that any fare increase affects our customers, and this decision was not made lightly. After keeping fares unchanged for 13 years, Metrolink is adjusting select prices in response to rising operating and maintenance costs, lower post-pandemic ridership, and declining state and federal funding.
The limited fare changes will help address those financial pressures while preserving a simpler fare structure and valuable discounts for riders throughout Southern California.

What is Not Changing?
The LA Zone Day Pass will remain $5 regardless of trip distance. All Metrolink tickets and passes will continue to include free transfers to connecting local transit services.
Metrolink’s Everyday Discounts will all remain, including the 50% Student/Youth Discount.

Yes. The Mobility-4-All program will continue to provide CA EBT cardholders with a 50% discount on all Metrolink fares purchased at station ticket machines.
The 50% discount rate is not changing. However, the final discounted price may change when the applicable base fare changes.
No. You can enjoy the same transfer benefits that are currently available with all Metrolink tickets and passes.
No. There are no changes to the existing Codeshare or Rail2Rail programs with this fare change.

Customers can enroll in SoCal Explorer Rewards at no cost and earn points on eligible Metrolink ticket purchases. The more eligible tickets members purchase and the more they ride, the more points they can accumulate toward available rewards and benefits.
