Burbank Wash Bikeway
The Burbank Channel Bikeway is a concrete multi-use path located alongside the Burbank-Western Flood Control Channel in LA County.
The bikeway was built in two phases. The first, 0.3 miles between Victory Boulevard and Alameda Avenue, was completed in 2011. The second phase opened in 2021 and extended the trail along the wash to the Downtown Burbank Metrolink Station.
This newer section travels along the Burbank Western Wash from Olive Avenue to Alameda Avenue, creating new mobility and recreation opportunities in one of the most population-dense parts of the city of Burbank. The path also connects Metrolink to many of the area’s bus lines.
The project gives cyclists the opportunity to explore LA via bike, experiencing an up-close and personal encounter with many of the local historic bridges that were built back in the 1940s.
