Metrolink to Offer Free Rides to Bicyclists During Bike Week

LOS ANGELES — Metrolink, Southern California’s regional rail provider, will celebrate National Bike Month by providing complimentary rides systemwide to passengers who board with a bicycle during “Bike to Work Week,” observed nationally from Monday, May 13, through Friday, May 17. Throughout “Bike Week,” Metrolink’s more inclusive take on the annual tradition, passengers are encouraged to take advantage of the free-fare promotion regardless of their destination.

"During Bike Week, we invite everyone to bring their bike and take any Metrolink or Arrow train for work or play, free for the entire week." Metrolink Board Chair and City of Highland Mayor Pro Tem Larry McCallon said. "Bike Week provides an excellent opportunity for riders to experience the convenience and eco-friendly benefits of combining biking with public transit."

More Free Rides and Events

The Ventura County Transportation Commission (VCTC) is offering free bus rides for those with bikes on Bike to Work Day, Friday, May 17.
