Metrolink to Provide Special Late-Night Return Train Service From Daisy Chain Fields in Irvine

LOS ANGELES – Metrolink, Southern California’s regional passenger rail provider, will offer special late-night train service for attendees of Daisy Chain Fields, a new festival from Grammy Award-winning artist Olivia Rodrigo, which will take place Saturday, Aug. 29, at Great Park in Irvine. In partnership with festival producer C3 Presents, Metrolink will operate three special post-event trains, providing attendees with transportation options to destinations in Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Orange and North San Diego counties.

The special trains will serve the following routes:

  • Anaheim to Oceanside – Train 698, departing 11:30 p.m.
  • Irvine to Los Angeles Union Station – Train 699, departing 11:40 p.m.
  • Irvine to San Bernardino-Downtown – Train 898, departing 11:30 p.m.

Due to limited parking at Great Park, Daisy Chain Fields is encouraging attendees to use alternative transportation. Festivalgoers can take a regularly scheduled Metrolink train to the Anaheim Station and purchase a shuttle pass to the festival through C3 Presents, or travel to the Irvine Station and use a rideshare service to reach Great Park.

“A major event like Daisy Chain Fields brings people from throughout Southern California together to enjoy talented musical acts while supporting organizations that advance opportunities for women and girls,” Metrolink Board Chair Doug Chaffee said. “Through this partnership, we are offering attendees a safe, convenient and affordable alternative to driving, while demonstrating the benefits of passenger rail in this region.”

The special trains will be available at Metrolink’s regular fares, including the SoCal Day Pass, which provides unlimited systemwide travel on the day of purchase for $10 on weekends. In addition, up to three children ages 17 and under can ride free with each paying adult.

100% of net proceeds from the inaugural Daisy Chain Fields festival will benefit 10 nonprofits supporting women and girls.
