Metrolink Attends APTA’s Transit Board Members & Board Administrators Seminar
Earlier this week, I traveled to Jacksonville, Fla., to take part in the American Public Transportation Association’s (APTA) 2019 Transit Board Members & Board Administrators Seminar.
This seminar brought together policymakers and APTA board administrators for professional development sessions that focused on best practices in governance and creating policy for public transportation systems.
Among topics covered were crisis communications, agency governance and applying new technologies. Additionally, there was a panel on the lessons learned from the Chatsworth incident where Metrolink discussed ways to build a safety culture and communicate before, during and after a crisis.
