INDEPENDENCE DAY 2019:
SUNDAY SERVICE SCHEDULE

On Independence Day, Thursday, July 4, Metrolink will provide service regularly available on Sundays.

The schedule includes service on the Antelope Valley Line, the San Bernardino Line, the Orange County Line, the 91/Perris Valley Line and the Inland Empire-Orange County Line.

Trains will not operate on the Ventura County or Riverside lines, nor to the four stations on the Perris Valley Line extension (Riverside – Hunter Park/UCR, Moreno Valley/March Field, Perris – Downtown and Perris – South).

$10 Holiday discount fares are available for all-day travel throughout the system.

 

Things to do on Independence Day

Take a relaxing ride on Metrolink to Downtown L.A., and spend the rest of the day visiting all your favorite destinations and attractions in Downtown L.A. and Hollywood. Here’s a list of places to visit on your holiday:

  • Olvera Street
  • Chinatown
  • Disney Concert Hall
  • Hollywood Walk of Fame and Attractions
  • Universal Studios
  • Madame Tussauds (wax attractions) in Hollywood
  • L.A. LIVE (The GRAMMY® Museum, restaurants, Regal Theaters)
  • Most museums in downtown L.A. (MOCA, The Broad, National History Museum)
  • 4th of July Block Party at Grand Park in Downtown Los Angeles

Activities in Orange and Riverside counties include:

  • Mission Viejo’s July 4th Street Fair
  • San Juan Capistrano 4th of July Celebration
  • Main Street USA Independence Day Parade in Corona

Travel to Southern California beaches directly on Metrolink at Oceanside and San Clemente, transfer for free onto OCTA buses to visit other Orange County beaches or to Metro Rail to Santa Monica or Venice.

Note: Riders who wish to transfer to Metro Rail should continue to use paper tickets from Metrolink's ticket vending machines. Metrolink will introduce improvements to make this option available through mobile ticketing in the future.

Ticket Vending Machines:

Please visit any of the stations in service during Memorial Day and follow the instructions on the Ticket Vending Machine screen.

Remember, your Metrolink ticket is good for a free connection to the Metro Rail (Red, Purple, Blue, Gold, Expo and Green) Lines and most buses.
