What’s New: Student Savings Continue!
Metrolink offers all students a 50% discount on train fares. Whether you're commuting to class, heading to work, or exploring Southern California, it's easier and more affordable than ever to ride Metrolink as a student.
If you have a California EBT card, you can qualify for an additional 50% discount through our Mobility-4-All program. That means qualifying students can ride for even less, or nearly free.
The grant-funded Student Adventure Pass pilot program, which offered 100% free Metrolink rides, ended on June 30, 2025. Students now receive a 50% discount on all Metrolink tickets with a valid student ID.

Students with a valid student ID save 50% on every ticket. If you have a California EBT card, you can qualify for an additional 50% off your student rate through the Mobility-4-All program.
The discount is available on ticket machines at Metrolink stations and on the Metrolink mobile app as the Student/Youth discount.
The discount is available to:
- Students of any age with a valid student ID from an accredited school, college, or university. It does not apply to school staff or faculty, unless they are also students.
- Youth riders ages 17 and under (no student ID required for youth fare).
