Located in Valhalla Cemetery, the Burbank Aviation Museum — also known as the Portal of Folded Wings — is a 75-foot-tall "Shrine to Aviation" and the burial site for fifteen industry pioneers.

The ornate marble mosaic structure also houses an incredible array of memorabilia and documents collected with the help of aviators, engineers, designers, fabricators, and other enthusiasts. Y

ou’ll find a large-scale model of the space shuttle that was created to honor fallen astronauts. This little-known museum is a real find for kids who love airplanes and space
