Once upon a time, throwing a frisbee was a casual pastime, but playing Disc Golf means stepping into a serious sport, with rules, goals, and even professional players! Which is not to say it’s any less fun to play, especially at a course like the DeBell Golf Club in Burbank.

There’s a sprawling 18-hole 5,608-yard golf course you can try, but the 9-hole disc golf course is located on their Par-3 course, and both games are played alongside each other. The fees are reasonable, and the holes range from 60-90 yards each, which means most players will find it relatively easy. And the course itself is quite picturesque, set against the Verdugo Mountains and lined with plenty of trees.

You may even see deer on the course having a snack and watching you play! Did you forget to bring your own discs? They’ve got a Pro Shop with discs (and golf gear) for purchase, and they’ve even got a few they can loan you in a pinch, too. And if you want to try playing “regular” golf, their Par-3 course is fun for both beginners and experts alike. Planning ahead is always helpful, so call or go online to book your tee time or you may end up waiting for an opening.

Want to come back often? Consider their Players Club or Annual Pass memberships. If you get hungry while you’re there, just stop by their Hilltop Restaurant and Bar for a snack or a meal. Such a beautiful spot is also perfect for weddings or private events, and they’ve been known to host Family Fun Nights, so be sure to follow them on social media @debellgolfclub.
