FYC - For Your Consideration (Restaurant/Bar)

Standing for “For Your Consideration,” the name FYC is a nod to the film industry phrase used in entertainment advertisements and echoes the cinematic touches woven throughout the revamped property. FYC serves as an offscreen hideaway for clever cocktails and globe-trotting cuisine in the heart of the world’s entertainment capital. This new bar and restaurant is located within Hotel Amarano Burbank-Hollywood, which has recently reemerged as Los Angeles’ latest luxury boutique hotel for the sophisticated traveler following a full-scale renovation and rebrand of the property in September 2020.

The interior design evokes a feeling of Old Hollywood glamour featuring rustic and western-inspired elements. The 1,250-square-foot restaurant and patio are both bathed in a classic color palette of navy, taupe and whites with pops of gold.

The lounge is outfitted with contemporary, custom-made sofas and relaxed lounge seating, grouped intimately around mixed-material coffee tables. The living room ambiance is further accentuated by floor-to-ceiling bookshelves displaying Old Hollywood and Burbank memorabilia. The space is adorned with lush landscaping, Spanish accents, hanging lanterns and an al fresco patio —creating a picturesque venue to host social gatherings when the time is right. 

Hotel Amarano Executive Chef Jose Sanchez collaborated with DNA Hospitality on the menu development for FYC. Breakfast offerings include classic morning fare with unexpected touches such as rosemary-sage syrup atop brown butter buttermilk pancakes. The all-day menu features shareable snacks like sweet potato bravas with jalapeno honey and charred broccolini gomae alongside salads, burgers, wraps and entrees. Main dishes range from hearty—shrimp orecchiette, Beyond Meat burger, hot chicken sandwich—to lighter fare such as herb sea bass atop sautéed vegetables and a quinoa & kale bowl.
