Jitlada believes in bridging the gap between Southern Thai Spice and LA Soul to create authentic, flavorful fare for the everyday foodie. Jitlada's Chef Sarintip “Jazz” Singsanong was a finalist in the "Best Chef: California." category of the 2022 James Beard Awards.

The restaurant specializes in Southern Thai food hailing from the specific regional cooking where the owners' family was born and raised, Nakhon Si Thammarat.

As Thailand is a country surrounded by water, Southern Thai food predominantly features seafood dishes. Jitlada uses a wide range of spices such as turmeric and offers over 200 dishes diners can't taste anywhere else.

Try appetizers like the BBQ Squid, grilled and marinated and served with a spicy lime sauce. The Teryaki Eel Roll comes with an eel fillet, fresh vegetables and glass noodles rolled in steamed rice paper, served with the house special sauce.

For the main course, dive into delicious dishes like Mongolian Beef which comes with green onion and bamboo shoots or the Crispy Honey Duck, topped with honey sauce.

And don't forget the specialty curries, like the Krachai Crispy Pork -- stir-fried crispy pork in a spicy, dry curry with ginger root — or the Red Snapper Dry Curry made with spicy red snapper fillet in hot, dry curry. There is also a wide selection of noodles, fried rice, and vegetable dishes.

Those over 18 and feeling especially brave can try the "Dynamite Spicy Challenge" in which participants pick their choice of protein and must eat everything on their plate. If they do, the check is waived. Angeleno Magazine refers to the challenge as feeling like their tongue touched "hot lava."
