Pasadena Sandwich Company
Steve Fink opened the Pasadena Sandwich Company in 1995 after gaining expert sandwich shop experience working with his parents in their NY-styled deli in the 1950s in Pomona, CA.
Using the tricks of the trade he had learned in the 17 years working at the family shop, he ventured out to establish his own business, with the mission to "feed all the people of Pasadena.” Today, the shop remains a family affair -- and Steve's kids Meghan, Kaytee, Nicole and Jonathan have continued where their dad left off.
The third-generation family deli owners continue to cook their meat and make their salads fresh daily. The Pasadena Sandwich Company still stands as a landmark in Pasadena and continues to create quality sandwiches with friendly service at reasonable prices.
This shop is known for its signature “trust the cook” sandwich is a mystery concocted by whoever is working the deli at the time, putting together a combination of what they think you might like. Usually, it’s a massive pile of premium meat, and well worth the risk.
There are also “The Californian” which is a combination of roast beef, Jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise on wheat bread. Those seeking something especially savory can indulge in “The Chicago,” which combines corned beef, pastrami, Swiss cheese, coleslaw and Russian dressing as a triple decker sando on rye bread.
