Porto's Bakery was born out of Rosa Porto's love for sharing her wonderful cakes and pastries with friends and family. The kitchen at home was always her favorite place to be, she relied on her baking skills and began selling cakes out of her house for her neighbors and friends to support her family at a young age.

In 1976 after emigrating to America in the midst of the Cuban revolution, Rosa opened her first official storefront, Porto's Bakery, on Sunset Boulevard in Echo Park, California. Her legacy has only grown since then with the help of her family. In 2016, four decades after its first impact on the SoCal community, Porto's claimed the number one spot on "Yelp's Top 100 Places to Eat in the US."

Signature items include Rosa's legendary Cuban cakes and pastries, the signature Cheese Rolls™, Refugiados™ (Guava and Cheese Strudels), and the famous Potato Ball™, among many other delightful items. Although Rosa Porto passed away in 2019, her three children and grandchildren work alongside a talented and dedicated team to carry on the Portos tradition and Rosa's legacy.

Today, there are six Porto's locations. Grab a goodie in Glendale, Burbank, Downey, Buena Park, West Covina or Northridge. (Map to the right is linked to the location in Glendale.
