The classic, Art-Deco style L.A. Union Station favorite eatery Traxx Restaurant is a fine dining restaurant, with a casual, relaxed ambiance. Dating back to 1997 having originally opened in what was the old newspaper room, this restaurant has stood the test of time as a Los Angeles landmark.

Both the Traxx Restaurant and Traxx Bar establishments briefly shuttered their doors in 2019 but weren’t closed for long, as today’s owners Chris and Kristin swooped in to save the spot. Both are fans of "the old days" and preserving LA history. Currently, the restaurant is open from Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m., serving lunch fare. Diners can enjoy sitting on the concourse which is located in front of the restaurant inside Union Station, inside the Dining Room or outside on the patio in the courtyard. Traxx Restaurant is also available for private parties and reservations after 3 p.m. for those who want to host an event in this historic setting.

From light choices like the Kale Caesar Salad or the Classic Cobb Salad to heartier entrees like the Nicoise Tuna Wrap, the Veggie Burger or Classic Burger, Fried Chicken Sandwich, New York Steak Sandwich, Mac & Cheese or Boar Bolognese, there’s something delicious for every taste.

There’s also Traxx Bar across the hall, which sits in what was used as the old telephone room and still, today features the original walls, flooring, cabinets and decor. Those who want to visit here can enjoy drinks and happy hour food but should be forewarned that the kitchen here currently closes at 7 p.m. on weekdays, at 5 p.m. on Saturday, and is closed on Sunday.
