Jurupa Mountains Discovery Center
The 82-acre Jurupa Mountains Discovery Center is marked along the hillside by the iconic iron sculpture of a Colombian Mammoth, affectionately named “Eddy the Mammoth.” The center was founded in 1964 by a group of local philanthropists and scientists, and today still offers a range of entertainment for budding scientists to explore on-site.
Discover a host of family-friendly outdoor activities for visitors of all ages and interests, such as the Ruth and Sam Kirby Earth Science Museum or the Granite Hills Nursery. Gaze at the live display collection of specimens of rocks and fossils from around the world or the extensive collection of dinosaur eggs. It’s a playground for fossil enthusiasts and nature lovers alike.
