Mariachi Plaza
This plaza was originally an informal gathering spot for mariachis seeking work from the nearby Boyle Hotel in the 1930s.
Today, it’s known as a culturally significant, historic gateway that’s home to countless celebrations and community events (and processions of Mariachis on feast day of Saint Cecilia), making it a longstanding destination for musicians to find success.
Visitors can admire the traditional art from the State of Jalisco—including a Cantera stone kiosk and seventeen wrought iron benches that symbolize the 17 Jalisco municipalities.
