Mountains to the Sea Trail
The Mountains to the Sea Trail is a designated National Recreation Trail, spanning a 22-mile journey from the Cleveland National Forest to the Pacific Ocean in Newport Beach’s Back Bay.
Beginning in the rugged, oak-filled Weir Canyon, visitors can hike, run, walk, horseback ride, or bike south toward the coast while enjoying an amazing variety of scenery and geography.
A large portion of the ride is alongside the San Diego Creek. Its location in the heart of urban Orange County and the mostly flat and paved terrain makes this trail an accessible destination for outdoor enthusiasts of any age.
