Named for the five-way intersection of East Cesar E. Chavez Avenue, Lorena Boulevard and Indiana Street, this historic area features two important memorials—Morin Square Memorial and the War Memorial—which honor and pay tribute to Mexican-American veterans.

It was the starting location of the first Chicanx Moratorium march held in protest of the Vietnam War in East Los Angeles in late 1969, which drew national attention and went down in history as an essential milestone for Chicanx activists from the Eastside.
