The Quarter Creole Cuisine

The family-owned Quarter Creole Cuisine located in Claremont’s Village Plaza brings authentic creole flavors to Claremont. It's a cozy and inviting restaurant serving food with plenty of flavor in a welcoming, inclusive environment.  

Using family recipes dating back five generations of great New Orleans moms, grand mommas and great grandmothers, it’s one of the most genuine Creole dining experiences outside of the New Orleans French Quarter. 

Diners can dive into tasty starters like the Crawfish Biscuits, which are green onion and roasted garlic biscuits smothered in crawfish and smoked Tasso ham cream sauce.  

For a fuller meal, try the classic Shrimp & Grits dish -- a savory thyme infused grits plate with garlic and shrimp Yvonne reduction sauce (a tribute Chef Norm’s ma, Yvonne, who makes the occasional visit to the restaurant, still...), or pick from one of multiple catfish and crawfish entrees.  

For those who seek something warm and hearty, the Shrimp Jambalaya entrée with tomato, chicken, and pork andouille, seafood stock and spices is a real treat. There are also vegan and vegetarian options – and of course, a full dessert menu (including beignets!).

“It's a great spot for a date with its cozy, romantic decor and great cocktails, and it’s walking distance from the Claremont Station. On Tuesday nights, they have live music! My favorite dish is the Quarter Catfish and the Bread Pudding for dessert.”
