Metrolink Will Operate Weekend Schedule, Offer $10 SoCal Day Pass in Observance of Memorial Day Holiday

LOS ANGELES – Metrolink, Southern California’s regional passenger rail service, will operate on a weekend schedule throughout Memorial Day weekend, from Saturday, May 23, through Monday, May 25, providing riders convenient and affordable options for holiday travel across the region.

Weekend service will run on the Antelope Valley, Orange County, 91/Perris Valley, San Bernardino, Inland Empire-Orange County and Ventura County lines, as well as the Arrow service between San Bernardino and Redlands. The Riverside Line will not operate during the holiday weekend.

Over the three-day weekend, riders can take advantage of Metrolink’s $10 SoCal Day Pass, which provides unlimited rides systemwide on the day of purchase. The pass is available through the Metrolink Mobile App and at station ticket machines. Up to three children ages 17 and under also ride free with a paying adult on Saturdays and Sundays.

For riders looking to make the most of the long weekend, Metrolink’s EXPLORE hub highlights popular destinations, events and seasonal activities accessible by regional rail throughout Southern California.

Metrolink’s Rail2Rail® program, which allows Metrolink Monthly Pass holders to ride Amtrak Pacific Surfliner trains between eligible station pairs at no additional cost, will be temporarily suspended from Friday, May 22, through Tuesday, May 26. The program will resume Wednesday, May 27.

Amtrak Pacific Surfliner codeshare trains, which honor Metrolink tickets and passes between Los Angeles and Ventura, may also experience limited availability on a train-by-train basis if ridership exceeds capacity during the holiday weekend.
