Downtown Upland is known for its quaint, historic and charming small-town atmosphere to escape for a day of shopping and dining. The downtown neighborhood is walkable to explore on foot, and there are plenty of locally owned and operated small businesses to support — including antique shops, boutiques, and restaurants.

To pre-caffeinate before an all-day local shopping binge or an afternoon exploring the town, visitors can check out Lucky’s Coffee Roasters, which offers specialty coffees and freshmade pastries to satisfy any and all caffeine cravings. There’s also the Local Baker and Cafe which creates irresistible freshly made baked goods including cupcakes, homemade bread, cookies, and muffins for a well-deserved breakfast treat.

Visitors seeking a fine dining lunch or dinner experience can step into Allegro, which is a family-owned and operated rustic Italian restaurant with a delicious selection of pasta, insalate and craft cocktails. For more classic American fare, Daddy O’s Rockin Cafe will seemingly transport diners back to the 1950s, offering quality-made cheeseburgers, veggie burgers, and even a vegan burger patty crafted with fresh ingredients alongside friendly, welcoming service. For those wanting to meet with friends and grab a brew (or two), Rescue Brewing Company’s exceptional beer selections are always on tap.

Shoppers can visit the wide array or boutiques, galleries and small businesses in downtown Upland, including Outatime 80s Retro Shop, which offers “all things 80s,” from music, to movies, comic books, action figures, collectibles, and arcade games. There’s also Pacific Wine Merchants, which has been in business for almost 25 years offering a hand-picked selection of wines by the glass, craft beers on tap, and hand-crafted cigars.

Travelers can spend a whole day (and night) in downtown Upland and still feel like there’s still more to explore, in this destination that’s welcoming to families, friends, and couples alike.
