Arroyo Simi Bike Path
This trail is perfect for Metrolink's special “Bike Cars” which are designed to hold nine bikes on its lower level. Metrolink’s bike-friendly cars are the perfect way to explore bike paths such as the Arroyo Simi Bike Path in Simi Valley, Ventura County.
This 7-mile path is also referred to as the Arroyo Simi Greenway and traverses along both sides of the Arroyo Simi Flood Control Channel from East to West.
It’s a generally flat trail, and in Los Angeles, some portions of the path have even been recently upgraded. Phase one included an upgrade of two miles of trail access as well as interpretive exhibit signs and site amenities, and phase two included a section of newly paved trail, the installation of three new trail entries, the installation of three primaries and two secondary gateway monument signs, and the installation of three signalized crossings for safety.
There is interpretive and directional signage at various points along the trail to guide riders and walkers who aren’t as familiar with the terrain. Another “can’t miss” point on this trail is at the Rancho Simi Community Park, where there’s a duck pond to stop over and make some new friends.
